LondonEnergy and Wiseup Network began the second year of their mentoring programme by hosting a week-long work experience for A-level students at Harris Academy Tottenham on 22nd April.

Throughout the intensive five-day program, the students were immersed in a variety of workshops from different disciplines. These workshops, including Communications, Human Resources, Legal, IT, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and more, provided them with practical skills and knowledge that will be invaluable in their future careers.

The students took part in procurement and project management challenge. These practical exercises helped them gain a deeper understanding of how to procure a new bus company service for employees and the crucial role of asset management in business.

Student Jason Merko, said “My experience at LondonEnergy has expanded my horizons beyond my chosen career path. The workplace helped me understand how different parts of the business work together to achieve success. This experience has benefited my career and given me an advantage over my peers who chose not to take up this opportunity.”

Armed with a newfound understanding of how a professional workplace operates, we are confident that the LondonEnergy experience will prove to be a pivotal moment in the students’ career journey, shaping their future paths in a significant way.
